Most Lizards have life span of around 2-3 years. The life span of lizards varies depending on the species. But in general, the larger the species of the lizard, the longer it is likely to live. Some small lizards live on average for just one year, where some large lizards could be expected to live for decades. (Ref: http://www.austmus.gov.au/herpetology/faq/reptiles.htm)
